Administrative Appointments
1998-1999 Appointed Director of Special Clinical Services.
This administrative commitment was over and above my clinical load . This job was to assist through various committees the Chief Executive Office (then Dr David Hillis – General Manager). The focus involved dealing with Special Surgery, (Orthopaedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastic and Hand Surgery and Anaesthetics) by way of clinical coordination. As a result of this ongoing commitment there was an interelationship with the following four division of Administrative Service at the clinical level.
- Clinical/Patient obligations.
- Teaching and Research.
- With Financial Responsibility.
- While working together amicably to facilitate the smooth running of the hospital at a time of tight financial restraint due to Government Policy.
I resigned from that position as of the 1 st July 1999 to carry on my busy clinical commitments and to try to complete my Post Graduate Thesis. |
